Wii Fit

Well, I broke down and gathered all my shillings together and bought a Wii Fit Plus Bundle. I was really skeptical at first about buying it. Was not sure if I was going to like it or use it. I had tried it but it always seem fun at first when you try it at someone's house. But, so far I really enjoy it. It is so much fun. The other night I lost track of time and was active for about 4 hours. Awesome!!

Taco Bell

I'm also impressed with Taco Bell's Nutrition Fact/Meal planner they have. It is similar to Wendy's and you can customize and add all your calories up together based on your order. It really is a helpful tool for people who are dieting. I think companies have finally caught on to it. In order to get people's business that are watching what they eat, there needs to be some access to the nutrition facts. YAY!!

Chicken Soft Taco: I took the cheese off this b/c it seems to high with the cheese. So basically what is on this is just chicken and lettuce, but they are only 89 cents, so this is what I have been eating lately at Taco Bell. This taco weighs in at 170 calories, with 6 fat grams, and 1 dietary fiber. That is 4 WW pts. WooHoo!!

Pintos and Cheese: I totally forgot they even had these. I used to get them all the time b/c they are filling, cheap, and yummy. This little bowl shocked me. Thinking it was going to be worse than what it really is. Bowl of goodness weighs in at 180 calories, with 7 grams of fat, and 9 fiber. That's right 9 (nine). Wow!! 3 ww points. The 2008 Dining Out Companion book says that also. Guilt-free eating here I come!!

Nachos and Cheese: Ah! My favorite. I have been ordering these lately, thinking that they were not that bad. UHHHH!! Based on the facts, holy cow! These chips and cheese are horrible. They have 330 calories, with 21 grams of fat, and 2 fiber. That is a whopping, 8 ww pts. I could seriously be sick right now thinking about it. And the worse part is that it is not even a big portion. That is what threw me off.

Cinnomon Twist: I like these sugary twists but I always thought they weren't the best choice. I knew they were better than some things, but after reading the nutrition facts on them they have soared to the top of my list. Having 170 calories, with 7 grams of fat, and 1 fiber, these little puppies aren't bad. Registering with a ww point value of 3, cool!

Mild Border Sauce(all): I put this sauce on everything. And the other day I grilled some chicken and put almost 7 packets on it. As I am sitting there eating it, I thought wow, I don't even know how many calories are in this sauce and I just doused my chicken in it. Well, to my surprise it has ZERO anything in it!!! YES!! (except sodium and the fire has 1 carb) This is my new best friend. Everytime I go to Taco Bell, I am asking for extra sauce to make my chicken at home.

Cheese Quesadilla: How bad can this be? Pretty bad. This used to be a favorite of mine. Now, not so much! Having 470 calories with 26 fat grams, and 4 fiber, this is not the meal for me. This cheesy heart attack is 10 ww points according to the PointFinder, but the companion book says 12. I'm going to go with the book on this one because the PointFinder only has the fat grams up to 20 and it isn't as accurate.

Wendy's Nutrition

Wow, I'm impressed with Wendy's nutrition facts on their website. You can calculate a meal by picking specific items off their menu, and then personalize the item to your taste.

Ultimate Chicken Grill: I picked this Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich. Took the tomato off and it calculated the calories as being 340 with 7 grams of fat and 2 Fiber. WooHoo! Not Bad. According to the WW PointFinder it is 7 Points, but the 2008 edition of Dining Out Companion book says 8 WW Pts. Even with the tomato on the sandwich the PointFinder is still saying 7 pts. I would definitely go with Wendy's facts and the PointFinder.

Jr. Cheeseburger Dexluxe: I took the tomato and the onions off, and the calories came in at 290, with 14 grams of fat, and 1 dietary fiber. Let's see here what the all mighty PointFinder says.....7 WW points. Aaaahhh!! That is sort of high for this sandwich. I would rather go with the chicken for the same amound of points.

French Fries (kids size): Yum! But these little sticks of grease are truely the devil. Coming in with 210 calories, with 10 grams of fat, and 3 fiber. These are about 4 or 5 points on WW. The book says 4 so we are going with 4. HAHA!!

Caesar Side Salad: YIKES!! I thought this would be a little better than it was. I knew it was going to be high due to the dressing, but not that high!! Brace yourself......260 calories, with 19 fat grams, and 2 fiber grams. That is 6 ww points for this tiny salad. I guess that isn't that bad, but I keep thinking about the portion size of it. Not very big. Usually, you would get that as a side to a sandwich or something but if you did that you would be using a lot of points and calories at one meal.

FAST FOOD WEDNESDAY!!

Lets make today Fast Food Wednesday. LOL!! Since yesterday was Cheesy Tuesday.

McDonald's Mess-Up!

So I did a really bad thing last night. I was so hungry and I just needed the taste of something bad for me. I went to McDonald's and got an Angus burger combo meal. Then I felt bad so I came home and exercised. LOL! But, now I feel like I can continue dieting since I got that out of my system. It is almost like I was eating other foods to fulfill that want of a burger and fries. I probably shouldn't have gotten that burger and meal. I should have stuck with a small fry and a double cheeseburger.

Now let me share with you the bad part........(go here for all nutrition info)

Burger:
750 Calories
39 Fat grams

Fries: (I shared a couple with the dog, so not all calories I took in) j/k
380 Calories
19 Fat grams

Hey at least I had a Diet Coke.

***Also, I was looking through the menu and calories and I was shocked about the snack wraps. They are not to high in calories if you get the grilled ones chicken. ***

Fage Yogurt - Is it Good?

I have been reading a lot of about recipes and different low cal foods that are good. And it seems like a lot of them are mentioning Fage Greek Yogurt. I think I need to try this. I have run into a couple recipes that take it as an ingredient and awhile back I found it at Meijer , almost bought it, but was to scared. I'm curious to see if it stands up to my taste buds and my standards. I'm not a yogurt eater at all. I hate the weird aftertaste it leaves in my mouth. Keep posted for the Fage update. LOL!

Cheesy Tuesday Saga - String Cheese I Like

Here are some light string cheese that I like. Not all are good. I usually try to buy the cheapest kind, but sometimes that can be the worst. I believe that all these are only 1 WW point!! WooHoo!!!

Market Pantry Light String Cheese (Target Brand). Watch your prices because many times there are coupons and sales on this cheese. Wow! Found someone else that loves this cheese....I think more than I do. Go Here to read the post.

Frigo Light String Cheese. I can only find this at Wal-Mart. I usually get the giant packs that are like $6-$8. I love string cheese ........... Can you tell?

Sargento Light String cheese. This is probably my favorite string cheese but it is high in price unless you run into a sale. I don't usually buy this kind b/c of the high price.

Cheesy Tuesday?!

Better-Than-Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients

1 Frigo light string cheese (or other brand)
1/2 cup Fiber One sereal, crushed (may also use Panko bread crumbs)
    1/4 cup Egg Beaters
1 tbsp Italian seasoning, to taste
    Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: low-fat marinara sauce (for dipping)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a food processor or blender, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Place crumbs in a small plastic container with a lid. Season crumbs with as much salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings as you like. Set aside.

Cut cheese sticks in half, so that you have 2 sticks. Place sticks in a small bowl, and
pour egg substitute over the top of the sticks.

Swirl egg substitute around so that it thoroughly coats the sticks. One by one, transfer
sticks to the container with the crumbs. Cover container, and give it a shake to coat the sticks in the crumbs. Carefully return sticks to the dish with the egg substitute, and coat them
again.

Next put sticks back in the crumbs container, cover, and shake once more to coat (try doing this two at a time the second time around). Place sticks on a baking dish sprayed lightly with
Olive oil. Spritz the tops of the sticks with a quick mist of the spray.

Place dish in the oven, and bake for 10 minutes (or until the first sign of cheese oozing out). If desired, serve with warm marinara sauce. Best when eaten immediately, while cheese is hot and gooey!

Makes 1 serving.

Mozzarella Sticks - Diet Food?!

I was clicking around on the internet and I came across this blog. So I started reading and she had a recipe on there for Mozzarella sticks. She has a pretty neat site that gives you the low down on a lot of foods. How cool!!! You must go check it out. There is a link at the bottom of this post you can follow.

Ingredients (makes 2 servings):

- Two low calorie mozzarella string cheese sticks
- A quarter cup of egg beaters or egg whites (you'll only end up using about half)
- One quarter cup of your favorite Italian bread crumbs or whole wheat breadcrumbs (you'll only end up using about 1 tablespoon per serving, so regular Italian breadcrumbs are okay)
- Two tablespoons of your favorite low calorie pizza sauce

Instructions:

(1) Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees
(2) Cut two mozzarella sticks in half and set aside
(3) In a shallow bowl, pour 3 tablespoons of egg beaters or egg whites
(4) In a separate shallow bowl, weigh out a quarter of a cup of whole wheat or Italian breadcrumbs using your food scale
(5) Dip each individual cheese stick into your egg beaters so that it is completely coated
(6) Once cheese stick is coated, roll it in your breadcrumbs until it is coated
(7) Place cheese stick into oven safe bowl
(8) Repeat for the other three cheese sticks
(9) Lightly spray each of your cheese sticks with a bit more oil
(10) Put oven save pan with cheese sticks into the oven for about 7 minutes -- keep your eye on them, you want to take them out right before they begin to flatten and melt
(11) Put two tablespoons of your favorite pizza sauce in a separate bowl for dipping!

Okay, so in the calorie department, each serving (two breaded halves of a string cheese) comes out to approximately 110-120 calories (depending on what ingredients you use), with 3-5 grams of fat (depending on your string cheese) and approximately a gram of fiber.

Fiber One 90 Calorie Bars

I have been eating this Fiber One 90 Calorie bars over the week and I have come to really like them. So, todays daily bite-down is............... Chocolate Peanut Butter Fiber Bars. At first I was hesitant to buy them for two reasons. Reason 1 the price b/c a box only contains 5 bars, and ,reason 2 I really do not get into granola bars. The only ones I like are Kudos, Quaker covered in chocolate, and Sunbelt bars. HA! all bars that are loaded with great amounts of fat and calories. But these bar were on sale last week @ Target for $2.33 plus I had a coupon for 40 cents off. So it brought them down to about $2.00 a box.

I think these bars are really good. They do not taste dry and mine were really chewy. But, if you don't like peanut butter these probably are not the bars for you, b/c on the bottom of the bar there is a layer of peanut butter.........YUM!!! They also have another flavor which is, Chocolate.

All in all these bars round up pretty good. They have 5 grams of fiber and they taste pretty darn good. Happy bites!!

GO HERE FOR 40 CENT/1 COUPON FOR FIBER BARS

Week #2 Weigh In

This whole week I have been really nervous about my weigh in on Monday. I have been weighing myself pretty much everyday to see if I have lost anything and I kept staying close to the same. It showed that I only lost about .4 pounds or something. So, I have been pretty worried about it. Today I just got done weighing myself and it said that I had lost a total of 1.4 pounds. Definitely happy with that. But, now I am worried that tomorrow will not show that. I need to make a choice. Do I go watch the game or do I not. Right now, I'm leaning towards not going. I want to achieve that little weight loss success. After all, that is what is keeping my motivated on this journey.

I really hate this. I love that whole dieting and feeling great about myself, but I hate having to decide over temptation or the scale. I really feel like that Oatmeal commercial where the people in it have that scale attached to their ankle and are dragging it around, making decisions based on "the ball and chain".

Are They Worth It?

Shoemakers have found a valuable marketing niche, and they're running with it. Wellness shoes, sometimes referred to as toning shoes or shaping shoes, are raking in millions for shoe companies. But are they actually firming thighs and butts, and making people fitter, as promised? The answer is yes and no. And what you don't know about them could leave you in a lot of pain, physically and financially.

The details

At the end of last year, Sporting Goods Business reported that wellness footwear, including brands like MBT, Skechers Shape-Ups, and Reebok EasyTones, and the more casual FitFlops and Earth Shoes, would reel in $100 million to $200 million in 2009. The projection for 2010 is even healthier and could reach $800 million to $1 billion. The earnings add up fast, considering MBT styles run about $240 a pair. Other wellness shoe prices hover around $100, but with public interest high, expect to see other shoemakers hopping into the game in the next few months. Women, especially, are opening their wallets wide for these types of shoes. In October 2009, toning shoes accounted for 20 percent of the female pure-performance footwear market.

What it means

So the big question is, "Do they work?" According to podiatrist Jeffrey Ross, M.D., spokesman for the American College of Sports Medicine and assistant clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, the answer is yes—sometimes. "They work, but what you have to remember, because they have a rocker bottom and negative heal, if you have a tight heel cord or Achilles tendon, it can put tremendous strain on muscles," explains Dr. Ross. "You have to be really flexible, or do stretching, when you wear these types of shoes." He also warns that people should take care to avoid the infomercial knockoffs that are springing up, since there's virtually no research on their effectiveness.

Many wellness shoes, such as those made by MBT, are known as rocker-style shoes because the negative heel (lower than the toe) and curved bottom results in a gait that, the companies claim, improves posture and creates a natural instability that forces your buttocks and thighs to work harder.

Reebok's EasyTone shoes operate under a similar principle, except they tout two bulb-like pods on the soles to make muscles work harder. Nearly two dozen studies have found MBT shoes to ease knee, back, and joint problems, boost calorie burn, and firm muscles. "The bottom line is, it does exercise the muscles of your leg and will tone your legs," Dr. Ross says. But he questions whether using the toning shoes gives you any benefits you can't get from regular exercise.

"Somebody's going out and marketing and finding a niche community to say, 'You don't have to kill yourself and run a marathon. Just walk a half mile in these rocker bottoms and get the same effect, and more.'" he says. "The question is, do you really need to get more, or not? I'm not so sure about that."

Here's what you need to know when it comes to wellness shoes:

Consider more practical alternatives

Before you blow your budget on a pair of these shoes, it's important to understand that you can tone your backside without special footwear. For much less money and similar results, you can incorporate balancing exercises into your day.

Avoid heel hell

If you find yourself wearing two-, three-, even four-inch heels, it's definitely not a good idea to hop into a pair of wellness shoes to exercise. Dr. Ross explains that wearing stilettos all day shortens your heel cord. Switching to the other extreme of the toning shoes sets you up for pain and damage. "Dropping the heel with the rocker puts you at risk of a calf-muscle strain and tightens the hamstring," he explains.

Streeeeeetch!

If you're dead-set on buying wellness shoes in a quest for a tighter tush, be sure that you incorporate daily stretching into your life, or you're likely to be sidelined with pulled muscles rather than rocker-walking your way to firmer thighs. Dr. Ross recommends light stretching after warming up and before slipping on rocker shoes, and also post-exercise stretching. And remember, these shoes are intended for straightforward walking, not running or side-to-side movement.

**I wondered if these worked or not. I can understand why they would be bad for your feet and your muscles, but at least they are saying that they work.

SwimSuits

I decided to browse through Victoria's Secret swimsuit collection. For some reason I like to look and fantasize about clothes I will never be able to wear. But I came across this really cute bikini, and I thought to myself wow! this is really cute and I would probably wear that if I were skinny enough. So, this is my goal for May 2011. I think that should be enough time to get into an L-XL Bikini. haha ( 5 pounds/month = 80 lost pounds)

WOW!!! The topless bikini. Are you joking me!! Is this even considered a swimsuit? What is the point? Wonder how many of these hot little numbers they sell......probably a lot. lol This sure is good for the motivation (not!)

OMG!! Are These Fake?!?!?!?

WOW! NO COMMENTS!

Weigh In Day

Starting tomorrow morning I will only have 3 more days till I weigh in for week #2. AAAAHHH! Just because I think I did well, I'm nervous the scale will not show my hard work. My eating habits have gotten easier and I'm getting better @ managing my calories. I started to add a lot of exercise and my body is pretty sore from it. (Did Not realize how out of shape I was .......... WOAH!!) Yesterday, I exercised pretty much all day. When I play the Wii I totally lose track of time. I also broke out the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds. I love these exercises. I like how they are so easy to do and you don't need a lesson before you start.

I really need to kick my butt hard b/c Sunday we are watching the Vikings vs. Saints football game and it is so easy to acquire too many empty calories. I like Corona a little bit! I am really debating if I should drink or not. I think I have worked hard but I'm not completely sure. I don't want to weigh in on Monday morning and not shed anything. But, I don't want to go Sunday and not drink. Don't know what to do.

Febreze - Smells Really Good

I know this doesn't really have anything to do with my weight loss, but I wanted to share this THAI Dragon Fruit Febreze spray with you. It smells so good. While shopping I tried to do a couple extra laps around the store, to get some steps in before I left, and I saw these on an end cap. So, of course I had to try it!! Anything pink and shiny catches my eye. It is part of their new Destination collection. I bought the Hawaiian and I really didn't care for it.

I think it is a new scent but I am not sure. But, it says:

"Inspired by the winding canals of Thailand that are lined with dragon fruits, mangoes, and papayas. "

Deli Flats Roast Beef Sandwich

I wanted to post about some of the food I have been eating and how I have been swapping out foods. Below, is a Deli Flat that I put Banana peppers, roast beef, mayo, cheese, and lettuce. Believe it or not these are really good and I don't even miss the fact that there is not "bread" on my sandwich!

Here are the products that I like to use. I like the taste of them and the calories are pretty low.

1.) Pepperidge Farms Deli Flats (7 Grain) - only 100 calories...see "Daily Bite-down"

2.) Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese (pre-sliced) - This cheese is really good. I have had other low-fat cheese and it taste awful.

3.) Oscar Meyer Deli Fresh Meat - I really like this lunch meat over any other brand b/c it doesn't taste over processed. It taste fresh and not slimmy and yucky like most do.

4.) Kraft Mayo Olive Oil - This has a really good taste to it and it only has 45 calories per tablespoon.

5.) Mt. Olive Banana Pepper rings - I just love these. They are low in calories, and they are cheap! (lol)

Biggest Loser Baked Ziti

Doesn't this look YUMMY!!

This surprised me that Baked Ziti would be in the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook.

Ingredients:

Olive Oil Spray
1 (14 ½ - ounce) box fiber-enriched ziti or penne rigate *
1 (15- ounce) container fat-free ricotta cheese
2 large egg whites
8 ounces (4 cups) finely shredded reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
¼ tsp. garlic powder
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
Main Event Marinara Sauce, or 3 ½ cups other low fat, low sodium, marinara
2 tbsp. grated reduced-fat parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Lightly mist a 13” x 9” x 2” ceramic or glass baking dish with the olive oil spray.

Cook the ziti according to package directions until al dente. Drain.

In a large mixing bowl, mix the ricotta, egg whites, and all but 1 cup of the mozzarella until well combined. Add the garlic powder and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir in the cooked pasta until well combined.

Spread 1 cup of the marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared dish. Add half of the pasta in an even layer over the sauce. Top the pasta evenly with another 1 cup sauce. Layer the remaining pasta over the sauce. Spoon the remaining 1 ½ cups sauce evenly over the top of the pasta, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and the parmesan over the top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake 10 minutes longer, or until the mozzarella is melted. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut into 8 pieces or spoon among 8 bowls and serve.

Third Time Is A Charm

Ok, I was bound and determined to make this game work. After all, I knew if I quit this my weight loss would probably go with it. So, I picked it up for a third time yesterday. Gave myself a good pep talking, and geared up! I did my own workouts and skipped everything and anything that involved running! (lol) And, for the most part it worked. The leg band stayed on pretty good and I got a fairly good workout from it. I'm going to keep pushing on and putting up with it.

So Mad

I am so mad right now that I had to share this with you!!! Last Saturday I bought the EA Sports Active Personal trainer for the Wii. I was so excited to get home and try it out. The package that I bought comes with a leg band, the game, and a resistance band. So, I get everything out and I put the leg band on. Ok, so I'm sure EA Sports didn't think that the first part of the workout was going to be putting this contraption on my leg!!! It took me a good 15 minutes before I even got the dumb thing strapped and securely on. By this time I had broke a sweat. Now, after that I decide to start the game everything is going good, I chose to do their workout, and I'm finally started. I'm pumped that I am finally working out. Yeah! I'm thinking! Well, the first exercise was running. Here I am, running along in the middle of my living room, thinking this is pretty fun, not to bad. THEN.....the dumb leg band slips farther and farther down my leg, and completely off. UGH! I get mad and go change my clothes b/c I thought maybe my pants were to loose. Come back out and start the whole process over.

Get started the second time, and I finish the running. Pretty proud of myself right now. Then on to the squats. I was thinking yeah this is good. Following the guide, I start squatting. By now I have done about 5/6 squats. Game was not registering my squats. I couldn't get it to go!! I probably squatted 100 times when I only needed to squat 8. To make a long story short ................. I quit!

OOOOHHHHH!!! and by the way my leg band broke the first night I had it. It wasn't really fitting my leg right so I thought if I stretched it out it would fit better. Nope, the dumb thing ripped in half when I tugged on it with my hands!!! (I was never so mad) It's horrible, I think I need to lose weight in my thigh before I can exercise!!

So, today I am willing to give it another try and hopefully it works out a little better. Nope! Same old crap!! The leg band won't stay on, my squats still are not good enough, it tells me I am running to slow, and the worst part is I can not find a way to contact EA Sports!!!!

Well, I could kick myself because I would have much rather saved my $60.00 and put it towards a Wii Fit Plus board bundle. What a waste!! (lol)

Let me know what you think......Am I over re-acting a little?

Duster

My dog is on a diet too.

Pepperidge Farm Deli Flats

The Bite-down today is................ Pepperidge Farm Deli Flats. These rolls are made to substitute bread. Usually I do not like these types of bread substitutes b/c I LOVE bread and carbs, but these are really really good. And, the best part is that they only have 100 calories per roll and are an excellent source of fiber. So far I have only tried the 7 grain but, they also have 100% whole wheat and whole grain white. Go out and try them and have a good bite!!

Go (here) for some recipes that use these deli flats.

I have been reading and there is a competitor's brand called Arnold Select/Orweat Sandwich thins. From what I am reading they are supposed to be better tasting, but hard to find. So, I'm going to look long and hard so that I can decided. Let me know if you come across them somewhere. I need to put this through the final "bite-down" (haha)

Mind Over Mouth

I found this article from Redbook about mindlessly eating. Sort of what the earlier post about binge eating was about. I really liked how this author summed it up and said to "check in with yourself". It reminds me of those weight watchers commercials with the little orange hunger guy running everywhere, getting hurt.

Mind Over Mouth
During a high-stress situation it's natural to feel pulled toward something that distracts you and makes you feel better fast; and often that something is food, explains Jean Kristeller, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at Indiana State University and president of the board of directors at the Center for Mindful Eating. "Eating can become an automatic, unconscious response to tension and anxiety," says Kristeller. "But learning to become more mindful in these moments can help you break that pattern of automatic reactivity."

Here's how:

Acknowledge that you’re stressed. "We don't always recognize when we're on edge, and it's hard to interrupt something if you don't know you're in the middle of it," says Kristeller. Learn to recognize your stress signals, which might include headaches, rapid breathing or munching when you're not hungry.

Enjoy what you’re eating. "If you're just stuffing food down, you're not enjoying its tastes, textures and smells, which is how we derive comfort from food in the first place," says Kristeller. The more you savor your food, the fewer bites you'll need to get the comfort you seek.

Listen to your wisdom from past experiences. Maybe during your last stress-induced binge you devoured a half-dozen doughnuts; and the guilt you felt afterward only added to your stress. This time, take steps to maintain portion control: Pick up a single doughnut at the bakery instead of a dozen.

Pause. When you find yourself mindlessly diving into a bag of potato chips, stop and check in with yourself. "Think: Do I really want to eat this? Is it going to be helpful?" suggests Kristeller. Taking this moment to reflect can help interrupt the automatic urge to nosh.

Don’t ignore your cravings. Denying that those cookies are calling your name will only strengthen your desire to have one, but acknowledging your craving creates choice: Do you want to have one cookie now, or wait until the urge is so overpowering that you inhale an entire sleeve of cookies? Recognizing that you have choices puts you in charge, not the craving.

Evaluate your hunger. "Often we don't distinguish between physical hunger and emotionally driven cravings," says Kristeller. Rate your physical hunger on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being not hungry at all and 10 being famished. If it's a 0, 1 or 2, reconsider that pantry raid. If it's a 9 or 10, eat something healthy first: "If you're really, really hungry, you're more vulnerable to overeating," says Kristeller.

Dole Fruit Crisp

Today’s tasty bite is Dole Fruit Crisp. Flavors such as pineapple mango, apple pear, and apple cinnamon make up this tasty line. They come in a pack of 2 bowls and they are so goooooood!!! I tried the apple cinnamon and it taste just like apple crisp w/o the fat and calories. They have crisp on top and the apples are in the bottom container. You can either eat these warm or cold. I warmed mine up in the microwave for about 20 seconds and then you add the crunchy oat topping, stir it up, and eat.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE……………..they only have 160 calories and 3.5g fat per container. (I think I’m in love!)

I found these at Meijer, in the fruit isle, and when I went up to the self checkout it spit a coupon out for $1.00 off two. So I am definitely going back to get more w/ my coupon. Without the coupon they are a little steep, but, I am going to shop around to see if I can find some better deals on these little cups of goodness. I’m not sure if these will be available everywhere b/c obviously they say new on the package but I tried to Google for some information on them and I can’t find anything.

Also, I am going to look into how much fat free cool whip might be on top of these. That would make it even better and the taste over the top.

Eat Up!!
